Fire Safety

• Every apartment needs an ABC extinguisher
  • What is the rating on ours?
  • What does this rating mean?
    • A - Ordinary solid combustibles (ie- wood, paper ...)
    • B - Flammable liquids and gases (ie- oil, alcohol ...)
    • C - Energized electrical equipment (ie- computers, stove tops ...)
  • Housing will only replace these if we file a fire report, so keep mind that they cost ~$30
  • Does anyone know of a way to recharge these? We have two (?) empty ones (where are they?)
  • Do we have one in the basement yet? Do we need another one in the workshop/other side?
• Every apartment needs at least one smoke alarm
  • Make sure one is in the kitchen or very near it
  • Please remember to check them every daylight savings switch over
